The Lenten Fish Fry has been a part of our parish for over 30 years and is very popular. Dinners occur every Lent starting with the first Friday after Ash Wednesday. It runs for seven consecutive Fridays in our parish hall from 3:30 to 7:30 PM.
Purpose: Functions as a social event and as a fundraiser for the Covenant Mission Team, who travels annually for a one-week mission trip to help those less fortunate.
Responsibilities: a huge variety of serving. We have a team of adults who prepare the food beginning on Thursday nights. Also, some volunteers work Friday mornings during the seven weeks of Lent. And then we have volunteers who cook Friday evenings, teenagers who need service hours serve the food, and many other volunteers help washing pots & pans, taking orders, working the food line, and cleaning the parish hall.
Helpful Attributes: A willingness to do whatever is needed at dinner.
Time Commitment: We appreciate whatever time you can give us, up to 12 hours each Lenten Friday.
