Altar serving is open to any Catholic youth that is entering 4th through 12th grade. This is a wonderful ministry focused on learning the Mass in detail while serving at the Altar of Our Lord. This is also a great opportunity for service hours for 8th grade and high schoolers. An adult team facilitates the scheduling of servers as well as the training of new and existing servers.
Purpose: To serve the Parish and the Church as an Altar Server
Responsibilities: To assist as an Altar Server at Mass on weekends, Holy Days, and special occasions.
Helpful Attributes: An enthusiasm and willingness to take an active part in the worship activities of the Church. Adult team members should have a willingness to learn the liturgical functions, teach, and work with youth and teens.
Time Commitment: Your serving commitment is 1-2 masses per month and additional masses during the busier holiday times.
Training Required: None
Fingerprinting Required: All adult team members.
